Good work

This song is good but I just felt around 1:47 the hits used sounded a bit off tune, the beat was alright throughout the song but I felt it could of had some more character to it yet. Altogether the song was fairly well done and composed good job.

Plasmatic responds:

Yeah, went a little crazy with the 5 octave piano chords there. Thanks for the review!

"Ultra-tech-trance"

Nice beginning. The filter was nice and everything, but the resonance on it seems a bit too high. Kind of hurts the ears at the high points.

But other than that, you have some very nice synth work in this track and the percussion was very enjoyable :) Good work!

10'd and 5'd :D

Could you stop by my audio page and review me and my partners newest track, called "Misshapen Dream"? We'd appreciate it if you did :)

"Great to be back"

Same thing for me; it's been forever since I've written a review.

First off, grats on getting FL 7. Me and my partner are both striving off of FL 5 right now, so I'm sure that it's gotta feel nice to have the new version.

The song started nice and trance-like, no real complaint there, and the break-ins and outs are all creative with the synths and all. But there is only one thing I'd fix: The drums.

There simply is not enough stuff to fill up the song, you know? You need 16th note hi-hat rolls, bongo stabs on awkward time signatures, clav hits, ride bells and cymbals keeping time; make it sound full and creative!

10'd and 5'd. It sure seems like you deserved it :)

Could you review me and my partner's newest song? It's called "Misshapen Dream".

Good stuff but does need work

You had some really good sounds in this song but I do think they were lacking in clearity. If the compression levels were worked on a bit more and some of the volumes it would really improve on what you have here. The arrangments with synths, drums and sirens kept a good energy and flowness but I thought at some parts the drums were a bit much. You definatly have a pretty good song here all in all keep up the good work.

Karco responds:

Have you read even one of the other reviews? Clarity was definitely a big problem in this song, and I said so in nearly all of them... I do think I did a nice job with everything else. The drums a bit much? Hmm... I didn't think so.

And that's 20 reviews! =D Thanks a lot!

Good try

The guitar you used for the background was a little too overpowering compared to the rest of the parts playing you, should try turning it down about 4 clicks and add a slight reeverb to it to put it more in the back. The one you used for the melody was fairly detuned and it would probable be better to go with a different lead try using more of a bell like lead like a piano or make your own from 3xosxc. I am not trying to bash your stuff only write a helpful review. I have been around music makers for a while and if you want I could collab or show you some skills you could use in your songs just send my a Pm.

Noobmonkey0 responds:

ill work on it

Good work

Good job on the song this is the way the genre should be drum then bass alot of DNB that I hear is flooded in bass cutting out the rest of the drumming. This song has a fair bit of character and what I particularly like is it doesn't souly rely on the painfully cliché pendulum beat and fat bassline. The only things I didn't care much for is the background you had it was nice but I found it too repeatative for my liking and length. I think it would definatly improve the song to give more people to listen to. Hope the review is somewhat helpful to you.

Viewtiful-Masta responds:

thanks for critique review.

Alright so far

Well my advice for this song is that in the begining it is a bit too clustered try fading in with a bit less going on. Your sounds are good for the most part so far but I think the arrangment and compressions just have to be worked with some more yet. The drumming was a little week in comparison to the synths and bass so try working with them. Other than a high mid and cluster I think this could work out to be a fairly good song.

DarkMcShadowX responds:

Ah i nkow what u mean theres to meny notes at the same time of that sound at the bigining.

Better qualaty? ill fixe it up.

Yea i need better beats oh the base to wicht one? LOL

"Makayla Tribute"

Nice use of filters in the beginning, even though you could have turned down the filter frequency a bit, there was some really painful resonating notes in there :O

This song is nice and strange, but for some reason, it has a hint of beauty. It really makes me feel like I'm a confused villian, confused about who I've become or something and what I must do with my life. You have quite the song here :) Great work, I actually really enjoyed this. 10'd and 5'd!

Everlasting-Elements responds:

Yes, the filter were, indeed, a nice touch, even though they did need a bit fine tuning.
The song was meant to be more of a love song my beautiful girlfriend, if you couldn't guess, Makayla. So perhaps it does have to do with what we do with our lives? Who knows?
I'll gladly review you kind fellow!

"Honey!"

A nice popcorn-esque dance piece. I like how retro this song is, and as much as I like how diverse the melody is with its almost being like a solo; you need another synth in there that backs up the main melody. Something that puts the melody in your head and makes you want to hum it, you know?

Good work though, this is something that could just loop for hours on end :) 10'd and 5'd!

"Baby Blue"

I could see this turning into something great. And, since you use the word "playlist" I assume you are refering to FL? Here, post in this thread and you'll get some help from people who are experienced with FL :)
